My mother, Sylvia Shealy, was a true Southern lady. She was very kind, amazingly patient, and incredibly bright. She was a beauty inside and out.
She died at age 70 years old after battling Young Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. It was incredibly hard on me that we never talked about her disease. I never knew how she felt. What was she feeling and thinking? Was she scared?
I want to help her and others who are affected. I am committed to doing what I can to fight this disease and end it for everyone.
