As well as being a wife and mom, Cecile was a Certified Public Accountant who carved out a successful career at SunTrust Bank, until things like computer passwords and online expense reports kept tripping her up.
She kept falling behind at work, and went in one Saturday to catch up. Later, she came home and couldn’t remember why she went in. At 51, she received the devastating diagnosis of Young-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. In time, she declined from a talented and capable executive at SunTrust to a person who could no longer read or write.
We’re in this for the long haul. We do not accept that nothing can be done. We will do whatever is necessary to find and fight the causes of Young-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease.
