Hi. My name is Scott Morris. And welcome to the CBT Nugget's rendition of Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist for security. Now specifically, this is revolving around the JN0-332 exam. But we're going to go through a lot of the concepts in here, not just to get you familiar with all the security things that are involved, and how to fix-- not fix your network, but secure your network anyway.

But we're going to get this from an operational standpoint, as well as the necessary skills and knowledge to pass that JN0-332 exam. So let's go ahead and get started. As we move through the different Junos security classes, it's really good to be able to expand our knowledge as far as what it is that we're talking about, what it is that we're learning.

A lot of it has to do with things as far as what the certifications are. So whether you're going down a track or not, everything is based on our starting point over here. So we've got our JNCI Junos that we've already been through in there. And really, at this point, that means we're kind of going down the security track.

We've got the specialist, we've got the professional, we've got the expert. Now we've got the other tracks and everything as well, but the cool thing is all of this is going to build on stuff that we already know. So it's taking the basic concepts and we got out of our JNCI Junos, and really expanding upon them specifically for our security track.

Now in doing this, in terms of our outline, if you will, in terms of the topics we'll be looking at, I built a topology in here that you and I can sit down and really relate to as far as a basic office goes, as far as being able to look at and say, OK, this is cool.

I understand this. I've got users the same way, engineers, data center, IT, HR, whatever. I've got stuff, of course-- the internet connectivity. We hope to go through these concepts and really get it to a point that it makes sense, not just from the concepts that we're covering, but the actual operation therein.

So I'd certainly encourage you to watch all the videos, and really practice and verify everything you can, whether you get an SRX, whether you're doing this from a virtual standpoint on Openbox. Whatever method you're using to test the stuff out, it's always better to do it that way.

And most importantly along the way the thing is that we want to enjoy the journey that we have. Now taking a look at the objectives that we're going to be going through here. So this is the objectives for the exam, but it will also kind of give us, like I said, an outline for how we're going to handle the course.

So we'll go through kind of an overview of security, at least from the focus of our SRX, our Juniper equipment right here. And we'll talk about things about how that device thinks-- so our zones, our security policies, different authentication, the screens, which is some intrusion detection, some NAT, VPNs, high availability, and down into UTM.

With each of these, or I should say, most of these anyway, we'll get into not only the conceptual portion of it, but also the demonstration on equipment. So we'll set up some scenarios in here judging off of-- or building off of our diagram, in order to can give that real world perspective, and give you something to be able to take away from it and learn from it.

That's really what the objective is-- well, one of the objectives. The other objective, of course, is that we understand it enough not just to do in the real life, but also to be able to go and take and pass the exam on there, which is going to give this to the point where we get our certification.

So I want to have our specialist certification by the time we're done with all this fun stuff. And like I said, hopefully along the way we have also enjoyed the journey in there. So with that, really we want to dive into the course and go ahead and get started with this, don't you?

I mean I'm excited about doing the stuff, so let's sit down and go through this. In the meantime, I hope this has been informative for you and I'd like to thank you for viewing.
